OUR SUN THE UNIVERSE MAPLE LEAF 2023 1 oz Pure Silver Color Coin In Capsule
The seventh issue in the series “The Universe” is dedicated to our Sun. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and features a depiction of the shining dwarf star in the colors yellow and orange. On the left edge of the coin, the planet Earth and the moon are depicted. Also included are the inscriptions “CANADA” and “FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR”. The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue, the dates “1952-2022” and the denomination “5 DOLLARS”.
The sun is a nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma at the center of our solar system. Temperatures of around 5700 degrees Celsius prevail on its surface, from which light and heat stream into space. The sun’s diameter is about 1.39 million kilometers. Through its course in the sky, the sun divides the day and the year, making it revered by solar cultures since prehistoric times. The sun is the most important star for the earth and it’s organisms. The “The Universe – Our Sun coin in color” is delivered in a protective capsule including an illustrated product card.
