As a big fan of The Goonies movie, I had to get this silver coin from Agoro. This is Agoro's first numismatic silver coin that they have released for The Goonies theme.

This is an extremely limited run of just 400 pieces made, which Agoro classified the rarity as Ultimate Mintage. These coins are 5oz of 999 pure silver. The first 40 from this run are chase editions, which have been embellished with gold gilded treasure and eight sparkling gemstones to make these stand out from the remaining 360 pieces.

These coins have been housed in a premium packaging, which includes a display case and a themed outer box. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity that contains the Goonies oath along with pictures of scenes from the movie. The certificate's edges has been shaped a bit to give it the look of a treasure map feel. The themed outer box is solidly built and has a decent weight to it, it doesn't feel like some cheap lightweight cardboard box. I believe the gold coin on the front is somewhat magnetic to help keep it closed once you close the 2 lids together. The back has the famous Goonies slogan "Never Say Die".

The front of the silver coin has been designed with a colored movie poster. The back has been individually numbered and is engraved with silhouettes of the Goonies on their bikes and Astoria's Goondocks, which is what the Goonies neighborhood is called.

All in all, Agoro did a superb job overall with this package. I'm glad I snagged one of these to add to my collection of Goonies stuff. Agoro will be releasing 2 other limited edition silver coins this year as well, the second coin will be of the skeleton key and their third coin will be the spanish doubloon. I of course have already placed my pre-order for the skeleton key and added my name down on the waiting list for the doubloon.

I highly recommend that a dedicated Goonies fan should add this to their Goonies collectibles in their treasure chest!
