This first striking 5g pure silver coin note in the Star Trek: The Next Generation Collection features the poster artwork, from Juan Ortiz, of the series premiere episode, Encounter at Farpoint, Pt. I.
A Star Trek: The Next Generation Collector’s Album is included with purchase. Inside a protective cover, this hardcover album includes a page for each of the seven coin notes in the collection. This will include poster artwork of key episodes from all seven seasons of the series, including Encounter at Farpoint, Pt. I, The Measure of a Man, The Best of Both Worlds, Pt. 1, Redemption, Pt. I, Unification, Pt. I, Chain of Command, Pt. I, and All Good Things.
The album is Star Trek themed and includes a summary of each corresponding episode.
The design is brought to life through the use of engraving and colour printing. The unique number in the mintage is also printed on each coin note.
The obverse of the note features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is legal tender in Niue.
This single silver coin note is housed inside a protective sleeve which includes details of the note’s authenticity.
Coin Story
100 years after the era of Captain James T Kirk, a new Captain, Jean-Luc Picard, takes command of the Galaxy-class U.S.S. Enterprise-D. Picard and his hand-picked crew set off on its maiden voyage to examine a new planetary station for trade with the Federation.
During their mission, they encounter ‘Q’, an omnipotent and extra dimensional creature, who challenges Humanity as a barbaric and inferior species. Picard and his crew must hold off Q while solving the puzzle on Farpoint Station, a base on the planet Deneb IV that is far more than it appears to be.
