ROUTE 66 – LANDMARKS USA – 2020 1 oz American Silver Colored Coin in Capsule
The eighth issue of the 10 coin series Landmarks USA – Top 10 is dedicated to the Route 66. The approximately 3,945 kilometer long road from Chicago to Santa Monica (L.A.) was one of the first continuous and paved road connections to the west coast. It was gradually expanded from 1926 with the increasing number of cars. In the meantime, only parts of the original route can still be used. The motive of the coin shows a section of Route 66 at sunset and with bikers on the road. The reverse shows the American bald eagle, the national bird of the United States. The eagle is enframed by 13 stars and the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “1OZ. FINE SILVER – ONE DOLLAR”. The limited silver coin in color is delivered in a capsule including a product card.
