The silver locked coin was issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Roswell Incident and features real earth from the area of the incident. Struck from 99.9% silver in proof quality, the colored design depicts two agents in protective suits removing an alien entity while attempting to cover up the crash site. Surrounding the design are the inscriptions “THE ROSWELL INCIDENT” and “JULY 8, 1947”. The reverse features the weight, the fineness, the year of issue and the American Eagle.
The Roswell Incident is a conspiracy theory about an alleged crash of an unidentified flying object (UFO) in June or July 1947 near the small town of Roswell in the U.S. state of New Mexico. The United States Army attributed the find at the time to a propped weather balloon including a radar reflector. The strictly limited silver coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
