PULSAR THE UNIVERSE MAPLE LEAF 2023 1 oz Pure Silver Color Coin In Capsule
The tenth and final issue in the series “The Universe” is dedicated to the Pulsar, a rapidly rotating neutron star. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and features a colorful depiction of a brightly shining pulsar. The planets Jupiter and Venus are indicated on the left edge of the coin. Also included in the design are the inscriptions “CANADA” and “FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR”. The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue, the dates “1952-2022” and the denomination “5 DOLLARS”.
Pulsars are important astronomical phenomena used not only to test the general theory of relativity and to study matter under extreme conditions, but also to measure time and determine position in space. They consist of extremely dense remnants of massive stars, known as neutron stars. Pulsars rotate around their own axis at such an incredibly fast speed that they emit periodic signals resembling a cosmic lighthouse. The “The Universe – Pulsar coin in color” is delivered in a protective capsule including an illustrated product card.
