- Reverse design: portrays a spirited brumby with a raised hoof. The horse is standing beside a tree that is shedding its bark – a regular occurrence in the lifecycle of many Australian eucalypts. As well as fallen branches among strappy leafed native flora, the design includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN BRUMBY’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
- Obverse design: bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
