POLAR LIGHTS THE UNIVERSE MAPLE LEAF 2023 1 oz Pure Silver Color Coin In Capsule
The fifth issue in the series “The Universe” is dedicated to the Polar Lights. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and features a depiction of the Polar Lights and a satellite in color. Also included are the inscriptions “CANADA” and “FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR”. The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue, the dates “1952-2022” and the denomination “5 DOLLARS”.
The northern lights, scientifically called aurora borealis, are created in polar regions by the impact of energetic particles from the terrestrial magnetosphere on the atmosphere. Due to the very low light pollution, the northern parts of Canada, Alaska, Finland, Sweden and Norway are well known for their stunning view of the mystical spectacle of nature. The “The Universe – Polar Lights coin in color” is delivered in a protective capsule including an illustrated product card.
