ZONK! This hilarious BATMANTM ‘66 1oz Silver Coin shows THE PENGUINTM in his formal purple splendour with one of his crazy catchphrases, alongside an engraved BAT SIGNALTM and the umbrellas that are so synonymous with his character. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the coin is legal tender in Niue.
A limited-edition coin with a worldwide mintage of only 1,966 to mark the date of the series, its uniquely numbered Certificate of Authenticity is found inside the packaging, which includes a magnetised acrylic block so the coin can be easily displayed or removed as needed. This fits snugly inside an outer box which shows a cartoon image of THE PENGUIN on the top and the BATMOBILETM and BAT SIGNALTM shining over the GOTHAM CITYTM skyline on the base. BATMAN and ROBINTM can be seen scaling the sides!

Coin Story
The 1966 BATMANTM TV Series aired for three seasons from January 12, 1966 to March 14, 1968. Burgess Meredith famously starred as THE PENGUINTM in this series.
During its first season, it was one of only two prime-time TV series to be broadcast twice in one week, with the first episode always containing a cliffhanger ending and the voice over: “Tune in tomorrow—same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!”. The cheery campiness of this live action situation comedy was an unexpected success and for many viewers became their first exposure to the CAPED CRUSADERTM, his sidekick ROBINTM and his ridiculous rogues gallery that included THE PENGUIN.
