This stunning gold 2021 dated coin produced by the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) represents the second year of issue of the Canadian Peace Dollar series. Release of the magnificent coin coincides with the centennial anniversary of the design’s inspiration, the 1921 American Peace Dollar.
- The gold $200 coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine gold, with a mintage limit of only 500 pieces..
- Each coin is minted in ultra high relief, with a spectacular reverse proof finish.
- Each coin’s edge is lettered with the Latin word for peace: “PAX.”

Elegant Peace Dollar Design
Obverse: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s portrait appears on the obverse, with the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “CANADA,” “D.G. REGINA” and the denomination.
Reverse: The reverse features a breathtaking allegory of Peace crafted by retired RCM senior engraver Susan Taylor. A young woman is portrayed with a wreath of maple leaves and olive branches resting upon her head, symbols of order and peace. The Latin inscription above “A MARI USQUE AD MARE,” translates as “From Sea to Sea,” the Canadian national motto. Additionally inscribed “PAX” and “2021.”
Gem Reverse Proof
This Gold Ultra High Relief Canadian Peace Dollar Reverse Proof was awarded the grade of Gem Reverse Proof by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). The coins are sealed in individual NGC holders, each adorned with a exclusive First Day of Issue certification label graced with the signature of Susan Taylor. The graded coin is housed in a sleek black wood display case, accompanied by the original numbered RCM Authenticity Certificate.
