Northern Ontario Dollar 1980 Coin – Canada (PRE-OWNED)
Although Ontario appears large on a map, most of its population is concentrated in narrow Southern Ontario, abutting Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, and New York State. The people of (much larger and much less densely populated) Northern Ontario struggle to attract attention and tourists from the South. This token was declared legal tender during 1980 in more than 60 municipalities across Northern Ontario.
