Issued as part of the successful Lunar series, this beautiful silver coin by the Lao People’s Democratic Republic is dedicated to eleventh of all the animals in the Chinese zodiac. The Year of the Pig coin is struck from .999 pure silver in proof quality. Celebrate 2019 with this stunning silver piece decorated with 24K gold plating and a real Burmese Jade insert!
The State Emblem of Laos is depicted on the obverse of the silver coin. Along the rim of the coin, there is the legend denoting the name of the issuing country. The obverse composition is accomplished by the face value indicated at the bottom of the coin. The worldwide mintage of this unique lunar coin is strictly limited to 2,888 pieces.
The reverse features the 24K gilded image of a pig in the middle of a ring made of real Burmese Jade. Along the rim of the coin, there is a refined and intricately patterned ornament depicting several pigs in different positions. The name of the coin and its issuing year are also indicated on the reverse.
