The Lotus 1 oz 999 Fine Silver Coin, minted in the unique shape of lotus and presented in ultra-high relief, is the first coin issue of the World Enchanting Flower Series. The lotus is beautifully illustrated with enamel colouring, added with a special touch of lucent colour on the outer petals.
The Enchanting Lotus Silver Coin is housed in an exquisite collector’s box with see-through acrylic cover.
Lotus is the national flower of India and Vietnam, and also the region flower of Macau. This coin is issued in 2019, which coincides with the 20th anniversary of Macau’s return to China.
The enchanting lotus is a symbol of purity and enlightenment. Its roots grow in muddy water and the flower rises above the surface to bloom clean and fragrant, with remarkable beauty. In Buddhism, the lotus signifies how human beings strive to overcome the sufferings in life and break free to gain enlightenment. A fully bloomed lotus is believed to represent enlightenment.
