Everyone’s favourite droids, R2-D2™ and C-3PO™, are together again on their own Star Wars: A New Hope Silver Coin Note.
Made from 5g of pure silver, the note is coloured and engraved with the two characters on Tatooine™, as well as the movie’s logo and the Rebel Alliance™ starbird.
The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is legal tender in Niue.
Each silver coin note contains its unique number in the mintage and is presented in a protective sleeve which includes details of the note’s authenticity.

Coin Story
After Princess Leia™ hides the Death Star™ plans in R2-D2™, the astromech jettisons from her ship with C-3PO™. Landing on Tatooine™, the droids are sold to the Uncle of Luke Skywalker™ – but Artoo is on a mission to deliver the Princess’ message to Obi-Wan Kenobi™.
While subsequently rescuing the Princess, C-3PO and R2-D2 save their new friends from being crushed and they flee to the Rebel Alliance™ base on Yavin 4™ to deliver the vital plans.
R2-D2 accompanies Luke in his X-wing during the attack on the space station. Artoo is severely damaged in the battle and C-3PO volunteers to donate parts for his friend’s restoration. With the astromech fully repaired, both are included in the Alliance’s medal ceremony.
