Coin Story
Chekov was born in 2245. In 2263, as a Starfleet ensign, he took his first posting on the U.S.S. Enterprise under Capt. James T. Kirk as its navigator. His time aboard the starship saw him also assume other roles, including manning the science station in Spock’s absence, while his good-natured assertions about his Russian heritage often helped diffuse tense moments amongst the bridge crew.
