Doctor Stephen Strange was a brilliant and renowned neurosurgeon until a tragic automobile accident permanently and irreparably injured his hands. With his pride deeply wounded, Strange squandered his considerable wealth and reputation in search of an impossible cure. This desperate journey eventually leads him to the Ancient One, a mysterious ¬guru who takes Strange in as a pupil in the mystic arts, and ushers him into the hidden world of the supernatural, teaching him to cast his ego aside.

After 7 years of study and practice with the Ancient One, Doctor Strange returns to society as The Sorcerer Supreme and takes up residence in an odd, three-story dwelling known as the Sanctum Sanctorum. From this home base, Strange utilizes his vast collection of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to defend earth from the unfathomable, inter-dimensional dangers that lie beyond.

The Sanctum is a focal point for supernatural energies, and the third floor of the building features an enormous circular skylight with four swooping lines. This circular design is actually the “Seal of the Vishanti” and it protects the Sanctum from supernatural invaders. It is also called the “Window of the Worlds”.

The reverse design features the “The Seal of Vishanti” selectively plated in pure 24kt gold – a world’s first for a two-ounce domed coin.

Issued by Tuvalu as legal tender, the coin’s obverse depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the 2017 year-date, weight, purity, and the monetary denomination.

Each coin comes delivered in a genuine bamboo display case with magnetic closure, emblazoned with authentic design motifs from the Dr. Strange movie, along with a colorized, solid silver COA (2 grams .999).
