On June 10, 1982, a one dollar circulating coin, composed of pure nickel, was struck to commemorate the new Canadian Constitution. This is the first time the Royal Canadian Mint issued a commemorative and voyeur dollar in the same year for circulation.
Coin depicts the Tiara design of Queen Elizabeth II with the Latin inscription:
ELIZABETH II D • G • REGINA meaning “Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, the Queen
Features a faithful reproduction of the celebrated painting of the Fathers of Confederation. It commemorates the Constitution with the inscription “1867 CONFEDERATION” above the painting and “CONSTITUTION 1982” beneath it.
Roll includes 20 coins of 1982 Canadian $1 Constitution Commemorative in unopened original condition.
