INTRODUCING THE THIRD COIN IN NEW SIX COIN SERIES
The third coin in the series is dedicated to Charity and will depict a design inspired by the monument showing the allegorical figure caring for the young.
This warm and touching depiction of ‘Motherhood’ symbolises the virtue of Charity. It is said to represent the virtue of making charitable efforts caring of the suffering. As Monarch, both Queens are considered to have held and exercised the virtue of Charity.
Widely acknowledged as the core principles founded by Queen Victoria during her extraordinary reign and have been carried forward by our current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
Each of the six designs comprising the collection celebrates the fundamental virtues both Queens are considered to have held and to hold. The Queen’s six virtues were first presented as part of the Victoria Memorial, situated outside Buckingham Palace featuring beautifully designed allegorical figures. Each one elegantly personifying.
