The ninth issue of the On the Trails of Wildlife series, reissued in 2021, is dedicated to the Bald Eagle. The colored motive shows an image of a majestic Bald Eagle hunting for a fish on the water. The reverse presents the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue and the denomination “5 DOLLARS”. The wing span of Bald Eagles is up to 2.50 meters, making them the second-largest birds of prey in North America. Originally spread all over the North American continent, the Bald Eagle was on the list of endangered species from 1973 to 2007. The On the Trails of Wildlife – Bald Eagle Maple Leaf coin in color is delivered in a protective capsule including an illustrated product card.
