AUSTRALIAN STOCK HORSE – 2017 5 oz Pure Silver Gilded Coin – Perth Mint
This special presentation features five Australian stock horses gilded in 24 carat gold and includes multiple designs from previous annual releases.
Known for their cat like agility and speed, endurance, athleticism and reliability, the stock horse is an extremely versatile variety and a popular choice for a wide range of equestrian activities including polocrosse, show jumping, dressage, hacking, camp drafting and eventing.
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 5oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality.
The coin’s reverse features a montage of Australian stock horses gilded in 24 carat gold performing a variety of actions set against distinctive outback scenes. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN STOCK HORSE, the 2017 year-date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark alongside a ‘5’ to mark the fifth year of the Australian Stock Horse series.
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin’s obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadly effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
The Perth Mint will issue no more than 500 of the Australian Stock Horse 2017 5oz Silver Gilded Edition.
Each coin is presented in a prestigious wooden display case within an illustrated shipper and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
