Australian Lunar 2014 Year of the Horse Silver Bullion Coins

These magnificent silver coins celebrate the Year of the Horse, the seventh animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac.
As well as appealing to investors, these superb releases are perfect for people born in the Year of the Horse – 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002 and 2014.
Those born under the influence of this sign are said to be hardworking, sociable, optimistic and energetic.
Mintage does apply to this coin, as no more than 300,000 will be minted. Final numbers will be released by the Perth Mint.
Meticulously struck from 99.9% pure silver in bullion quality, the coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
DESIGN
Each coin’s reverse depicts two horses standing within a stylised Chinese landscape. The Chinese character for ‘horse’ and the inscription ‘Year of the Horse’ also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2014 year-date and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse of each coin.
PRESENTATION
All Australian Lunar 2014 Year of the Horse silver bullion coins are presented in protective acrylic capsules.
