To celebrate the 2022 ANDA Coin Show in Sydney, the Perth Mint has struck this special release of the Australian Kookaburra from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver. The motive features a kookaburra sitting on an ornamented birdbath. The Agapanthus plant, typical for Australian gardens, is depicted in the background. The design also includes a Privy Mark in the form of a platypus. The platypus is the official animal emblem of the Australian state of New South Wales. It is one of Australia’s most unique animals and was discovered by European scientists in 1798. The 2022 Kookaburra design is framed by the words “KOOKABURRA” and “2022 1oz 9999 SILVER”. The reverse shows the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination. The limited special release is delivered in an illustrated blistercard with the ANDA logo.
