This impressive silver proof high relief coin features the 2019 Australian kookaburra design,showcasing one of Australia’s most distinct and unique species.
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1 oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality, and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 4,000 of the Australian Kookaburra 2019 1 oz Silver Proof High Relief Coin in this packaging from a maximum mintage of 5,000.
DESIGN
The coin’s reverse depicts a kookaburra perched on a branch during sunset. The branch is submerged in a river, which is lined with wetland grasses and a gum tree. The design also includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA, the 2019 year-date, the coin’s weight and fineness and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mint mark.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
The coin’s high relief reverse and obverse are minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
PRESENTATION
The coin is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid. Packaged with an illustrated shipper, each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity
