This 1 oz silver proof coin features the iconic koala in stunning high relief.
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1 oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 9,000 of the Australian Koala 2019 1 oz Silver Proof High Relief Coin in this packaging from a maximum mintage of 10,000.
DESIGN
The coin’s reverse design portrays one of Australia’s best-loved marsupials sitting astride a branch in a eucalyptus tree. The design includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOALA’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mint mark, the weight and fineness, and the 2019 year-date.
The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse.
The coin’s high relief reverse and obverse are minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
PRESENTATION
The coin is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid. Packaged with an illustrated shipper, each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
