The silver coin ‘Athenian Owl – Day’ in color commemorates the more than 2000 years old famous coin with the owl motive – the ‘Attic tetradrachm’. The owl has always symbolized strength, wisdom and knowledge. The motive of the coin features an owl sitting on a branch in bright sunshine and an olive branch, which symbolizes peace. Next to the owl are the Greek letters alpha, theta and epsilon – this is the ancient Greek abbreviation for the city of Athens. The reverse shows the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2020 and the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II”, “NIUE” and “TWO DOLLARS”. The limited color coin is delivered in a protective capsule including a product card.
