Aeternitas Series Venice 2022 $5 2 Oz Silver Coin – Niue
This wonderful 2 Oz Silver coin is dedicated to the magnificent city of Venice. This coin is the second one to be part of the Aeternitas series. The coin has a beautiful design and an incredible High Relief, has Antique Finish quality, is partially colored and comes in a themed display case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of only 499 pieces worldwide!
The reverse features a view of the 98.6 m tall St Mark’s Campanile tower is seen from the canal, a line of gondola’s in the foreground – all quintessentially Venetian. The obverse shows the sculptures and detailing of a Venetian facade, depicting the Doge of Venice kneeling before the Lion of Saint Mark, the symbol of the city that represents Saint Mark the Evangelist, patron of Venice. On the reverse, all around, the inscriptions in golden color: “AETERNITAS” – Eternity, and “Venice” – the name of the city. At the bottom, the inscription: “AD 452” – Anno Domini 452 the year in which the city was founded. On the obverse, at the top, the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All around, the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II” – the name of the Queen, “NIUE” – the issuing country, “2022” – the year of issue, “FIVE DOLLARS” – the face value and “Ag 999”, the fineness of the Silver.
