The fifth Maple Leaf silver coin in the Canada’s Wildlife Series is dedicated to the wolf. The uncirculated coin of 99.99% silver depicts a portrait of a wolf. The detailed picture highlights the light brown-yellow eyes of the wolf on the motive very well. In 1904, the last wild living wolf was shot in Germany. At the end of the 20th century the wolf has been placed under international protection. For that reason the stocks recovered and since 2000 wolves have been living in Germany again. In addition to the exceptional hearing and vision, the wolf also has an excellent sense of smell. He is able to smell his prey to a distance of up to two kilometers. This Maple Leaf coin in color comes in a square coin capsule. The silver coin is accompanied by a numbered product card.
