Here you can secure the Perth Mint 125th Anniversary Coin that was struck in two ounces of highly pure 99.99% silver and then selectively gilded in pure 24-karat gold. Along with the images of the kangaroo, Koala, and Kookaburra; the design also features a ribbon along the bottom of the design that reads “1899 THE PERTH MINT 2024.” Plus, if you look closely, you’ll also notice a special “P125” mintmark on the left side of the design next to the Koala. In the background is a representation of a golden wattle, Australia’s national floral emblem.
Each $2 legal-tender coin available here also comes in gorgeous Proof condition, meaning they were expertly crafted by the mint from hand-selected planchets, polished dies and multiple strikes to produce beautifully frosted details rising over mirror-like fields.
