Product Description
BLUE TSAREVICH CONSTELLATION EGG – IMPERIAL FABERGÉ EGGS – 2018 1.8 oz Pure Silver Coin – Niue – Mint of Poland
Carl Fabergé couldn’t anticipate that the Constellation Egg would be his last masterpiece designed for the emperor Nicholas II. This outstanding Easter gi for Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna was intended to mark the birth of Tsarevich Alexei. The jewel was made of engraved cobalt glass featuring the constellation of Leo – the Zodiac sign of the heir to the Russian throne. According to the project, the surface of the egg was intended to be decorated with miniature diamonds shimmering like stars in the sky, and enframed with a silver ring. There is a clock inserted into the egg. Regretfully, the gi hasn’t been accomplished due to the Russian Revolution of 1917.
For over one hundred years the Fabergé Eggs have been a symbol of extravagance and sheer luxury. Devoted to the masterpieces of goldsmithing created by Peter Carl Fabergé, our exquisite silver coins eternalize their beauty with unprecedented rendering of details. Real connoisseurs of art will undoubtedly appreciate their lavish embellishments and precise finishing!
