This matte proof silver coin was struck by the Royal Canadian Mint and is made of .9999 fine silver. It was issued to mark the 150th anniversary of the confederation of Canada. A mintage limit has been set for the 2 oz. Iconic Maple Leaf coin. No more than 6,000 of these will be issued by the Royal Canadian Mint.
Stunning Canadian design
The obverse displays the work of Susanna Blunt. In addition to the standard portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, this side features a detailed background pattern for Canada’s milestone anniversary.
The background pattern is present on the reverse as well. The center of this design features a realistic maple leaf that is full of fine details.
Proof 70 Early Releases from NGC with an exclusive Canada label
When this coin was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), it received the grade of Proof 70 and the Early Releases designation. That means not only is this specimen free of flaws, but it was also submitted for grading during its first 30 days of availability. It has an exclusive label to show its grade, the label displays some of the things Canada is known for.
